HarvestPath + QuickBooks Online Integration: Connecting Operations and Accounting

Connect Your Agricultural Operations to Your Accounting

For agricultural and meat businesses, every order, customer, invoice, and payment connects to what's happening across the operation. When operational and financial data live in separate systems, teams spend valuable time on manual entry, duplicate work, and reconciliation.

HarvestPath's QuickBooks Online integration connects these systems, allowing information to move between your operational platform and accounting software without entering the same data twice.

HarvestPath manages operations while QuickBooks Online manages accounting—creating a more connected, efficient workflow.

QuickBooks Online Integration for Sales & Invoicing

Available today, HarvestPath's sales and invoicing integration automates key steps between orders and accounting.

Here's how it works:

1. Orders Trigger Invoice Creation

When an order reaches your designated status (Closed/Delivered by default), HarvestPath automatically generates the corresponding QuickBooks invoice.

2. Invoice Details Sync to HarvestPath

Invoice numbers, links, and statuses appear directly on the HarvestPath order, providing visibility without switching between systems.

3. Payments Sync Back

Customer payment information syncs back to HarvestPath nightly by default, with options for hourly or on-demand syncing. This keeps order balances up to date.

The result: A connected workflow from Order → Invoice → Payment → Current Balance.

Reduce Double Data Entry and Manual Accounting

Without an integration, agricultural businesses often manage customer information, orders, invoices, and payments across multiple platforms.

HarvestPath's QuickBooks integration helps eliminate repetitive work by:

  • Automatically generating invoices from orders.

  • Matching customer and product codes with QuickBooks.

  • Syncing payment information back to HarvestPath.

  • Providing invoice and balance visibility within orders.

Enter information once. Keep your operational and accounting systems aligned.

Built for Agriculture and Meat Production

Traditional accounting software manages financial records, but it isn't designed to track the complexities of agriculture and meat production.

HarvestPath connects the operational data generated throughout the supply chain—from livestock management and production to finished products—with the financial information that ultimately reaches your books.

HarvestPath manages operational intelligence. QuickBooks manages accounting. The integration connects them.

What's Next: Costs, Bills, and Cost of Goods Sold

HarvestPath is continuing to develop its QuickBooks integration, with planned functionality for vendor bills, operational costs, inventory, work-in-process, and cost of goods sold (COGS).

Future capabilities are designed to connect costs to the lots and categories they support, including:

  • Hauling

  • Harvest

  • Feed

  • Labor

The planned workflow will track costs through Work-in-Process → Inventory → Cost of Goods Sold, connecting operational cost tracking with financial accounting.

These capabilities are currently on the roadmap and are not yet available.

Secure QuickBooks Online Integration

HarvestPath connects to QuickBooks Online using OAuth 2.0. QuickBooks credentials remain encrypted within the customer's Salesforce org, meaning HarvestPath does not store customer QuickBooks passwords.

The setup process includes connecting QuickBooks, matching customers, and mapping product codes. If a sync fails, users receive an explanation and a one-click retry option.

Connect Your Operations and Accounting with HarvestPath

Agricultural businesses shouldn't have to choose between operational visibility and accurate financial reporting.

HarvestPath's QuickBooks Online integration connects sales, orders, invoices, and payments, helping agricultural and meat businesses reduce manual work and keep their systems aligned.

As additional cost and bill functionality develops, HarvestPath's goal is to bring even greater visibility to the financial side of agriculture and meat production.
